Local Information
St Davids is in Pembrokeshire, Wales and is the UKs smallest city with a population of 2000. Lying on the River Alun on St Davids Peninsula, it is built around St Davids Cathedral which was a popular pilgrimage destination during the Middle Ages. Other city attractions are Bishops Palace, a 14th century building which is now a ruin but still open to visitors, the 13th century Tower Gate and the Celtic Old Cross. St Davids is popular with walkers and water sports enthusiasts due to its location by the Cambrian cliffs. St Davids boasts a number of scenic areas such as the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and it is the only city in the UK to lie entirely in a national Park. The entire coastline around St Davids forms part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
